MICHAEL BUDDEN
Michael Budden is both a plein air painter and a studio painter. Known for years as an award-winning wildlife
artist, Budden has changed his focus to landscapes and townscapes, often incorporating figures into the scene.
A resident of central New Jersey, Budden travels the country to search out interesting subject matter that
reflects his current focus on light and design in his art. Michael often paints on the Chesapeake, in Bucks
County, PA and in Manhatten.
Budden is again capturing awards with his new work, a two time winner of the Arthur T. Hill Memorial Award
for best landscape by an artist 45 or younger at the prestigious Salmagundi Club in New York. His painting
"Flatiron" is in the club's permanent collection.
