"Painting Light and Reorchestrating the Landscape"
5 Day Workshop with Peter Fiore, July 11-15, 2011
This workshop was about seeing and understanding light and learning how to manipulate
photographs to achieve the desired effects. Peter gave a slide presentation on how he catches the light in his photography and gleans inspiration for his paintings from them. He worked with students to help them understand how to use the computer to reorchestrate photographs to enhance composition. He also demonstrated his painting process from start to finish. Students completed at least one or two paintings during the course of the week.
Comments from some of the attendees:
"Great ambience, superb instructor in theory and practice; workshop was well named and coordinated. Body of students well motivated, friendly and cooperative. All together a terrific workshop."
"Thanks for a very enjoyable workshop-the organization was excellent- I enjoyed the participants, the facility-snacks, etc., and especially Peter and his willingness to share so much with us."
We are planning to have Peter back for another workshop in 2012, check back for details.
